It's been way too long!

It has been way too long since I have last written a post! It is now spring in "the ville", a Beautiful time of the year. Last weekend was Easter, the kids got to hunt eggs at Kate's and Grandmother's!!! Yesterday was thunder over Louisville (thunderoverlouisville.com), which is the kick off to the "Derby Festival". We took the kids to the airport yesterday for a bit to watch some of the airshow jets take off, then we took a trip down the highway to see the airshow closer and see some of what was going on down on the waterfront. It was a gorgeous day, high of 79 and sunny..they couldn't have asked for a better day. They estimated 700,000 people came out yesterday! All in all it is springtime here, lots of rain and a mix of weather..one day it it 80 and the next it is 40...you never know what you're gonna get!

Isabelle is 2!!

Our Princess Isabelle turned 2 on Feb 28th!! It's hard to believe our baby girl is getting so BIG now, it was only yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital in Portsmouth to her bassinet and now we're living in ky and she's sleeping in a twin bed :) It's the old saying "time flys", well it surely does!
We had her Birthday party at Izzy's Great, Great Aunt Kate's on Sunday after church, izzy had a puppy dog cake and lots of presents to open! Garrett was at His Nana Quire's hosue for the day, so he missed her party and Memaw and Hannah were in Texas, so they missed it as well.
Here are some pics from her Birthday on saturday and her Birthday party on sunday!

Lots of new!!!

There is lots of "Newness" here at our home. The renovation process has really begun!! I can't wait to have all that extra space, and a bed to sleep in...hahaha....So far the old 8ft of the house was taken off and the foundation was poured, next week we should have the framing done!! It is all coming right along. Ray got a job working for a security company and I am cleaning houses during the day. Isabelle is loving all her daddy time :) We are currently all getting over being sick, Maggie brought it home to us, then Garrett got it, then Ray, then me..and hopefully Izzy doesn't get it next. We are all busy, busy, busy now..but it's what we need to do now to get ahead.

That's about it for now, oh and if you're a married person reading this go watch Fireproof, it is an amazing Christian movie!

Passing the purple hat....

I received this in an email today, it really touched my heart. I think we all live life so "on the go"and don't take the time to slow down and cherish every moment. God gave us so much beauty here: sun rise and sun set, rainbows, butterfly's, my beautiful children, music, laughter, a cool breeze on a summer day, a crackling fire on cold winter night...the list could go on and on...

This reminded me to slow down and enjoy every moment, we are not guaranteed a tomorrow.

Passing the Purple Hat to You........
IN honor of women's history month and in memory of Erma Bombeck who lost her fight with cancer. Pass this on to five women that you want watched over. If you don't know five women to pass this on to, one will do just fine.

IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER - by Erma Bombeck
(written after she found out she was dying from cancer)

I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.

I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.

I would have talked less and listened more.

I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded.

I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.

I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.

I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband.

I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.

I would have sat on the lawn with my grass stains.

I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life.

I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.

Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.

When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, 'Later. Now go get washed up for dinner.' There would have been more 'I love you's' More 'I'm sorry's.'

But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute. Look at it and really see it...... live it and never give it back. STOP SWEATING THE SMALL STUFF!!!

Don't worry about who doesn't like you, who has more, or who's doing what.
Instead, let's cherish the relationships we have with those who do love us!

If you don't mind, send this on to all the women you are grateful to have as friends. Maybe we should all grab that purple hat earlier.
Please send this to five phenomenal women today in celebration of Beautiful Women's Month. If you do, something good will happen--you will boost another woman's self esteem.
