We had a Happy Thanksgiving

This was our first year back for Thanksgiving since before we moved to NH, it was slightly crowded at my Great Aunt Kate's house but it all worked out ok. My Great Aunt Kate was sick in bed, but she managed to get up and eat lunch with us and she socialized a little bit. Garrett spent the day with his other Grandparents, he seemed like he ha d a blast. It was very ncie to have our first Holiday back in Ky.....I can't believe Christmas is on 3 weeks away!!

Getting back into the swing of things....

My goal is to eventually update my blog every day, since our move though I have been very busy and have neglected it. I promise I will be getting back into the swing of things soon!

The house is looking better and better, I started hanging up pictures and decorating yesterday. It is amazing how much more "Homey" a house looks just by decorating. We got a kitchen table in our kitchen finally, ours was way too big. This was my parents table when I was little, apparently there is a picture of me taking a bath in a baby tub on the table.

Isabelle and Garrett's room are coming a long, we got Izzy's blind put up yesterday. I am searching for some cute strawberry shortcake material, when I find it my Great Aunt Kate is going to help me sew her some cute curtains. My parents are planning on getting a large rug/carpet for Isabelle room since the floor is not that good.

Garrett's room I already had curtains for and his theme has been dinosaurs for awhile. He has his bunk bed and everything all set up, he is happy with his room.

Our living room is looking really good, I love my Americana theme!

Overall the house is coming a long, there is much more to be done but for now it is looking like a home finally!

Home Sweet Home!

We are finally back Home in the Bluegrass state!! Words cannot express how Happy I am :)
Our house here in Louisville is far from complete, we still have boxes and whatnot all over, but we are settling in. Our son Garrett started school on Wednesday, he goes from 9:05-3:45 Mon-Friday. It is a BIG adjustment for him, since he is use to a 9-1 day. It seemed like he enjoyed his day yesterday, and when I asked him if he wanted to go back to school today he said he did! I am now a SAHM to 1, and it's weird but I am enjoying the time I have alone with Isabelle.
Currently Ray and I do not have a bedroom or closets to put our belonging...hahah...this is a HUGE challenge. We sleep on the couch every night together...another challenge. We do not have any upper cabinets or a new front door yet, other major challenges...but these will not last forever. We are hoping these things happen soon, but we just have to wait and be patient until they do ( A BIG Challenge for me..LOL)
It has been Great having all my family around again, I can't wait to spend tons of time with them. I feel like I have missed out on so much over the last 2 years, and now that I am back I am soaking up as much time with them as I can!! Garrett and Isabelle love having their "Memaw and "Pepaw" around, although Izzy calls my mom "Mi Mi" and my Dad "Pi Pi"....we need to get her to change my dad's name...hahah...
Currently that's all that is going on, Ray has an "in the meantime" job interview at a new pub on 4th street today, and he starts testing for the police department on nov 21.
I will be adding pics of the new place soon, be sure to come back and check them out!

We pick our moving truck up tomorrow

Tomorrow is the day we pack up the town home we have lived in for the past year. Ray is going at noon tomorrow to get the Budget truck, we have to get everything out of here tomorrow since our inspection is set for thursday at 9am! I am starting to worry that we won't have enough room in the truck, I hope everything fits. Our house in ky still isn't ready yet, we have 4 days before we move in there so I hope it gets together before then.

Almost ready!

The house got painted today, the pics apparently don't do it justice...but...it looks amazing considering how it once looked :)

slowly but surely

We pick up our Budget truck on Wednesday, so we have been busy little bees here at the Brun!! Basically I think we are just about done, aside from the kitchen plates/glasses and a few other odds and ends we are just about packed up. Ray took down Izzy's crib (which we are donating to a needy family) and Garrett's bunk bed today. Our next quest will be to tackle the fridge, stove, and the bathrooms...then we are Kentucky bound Thursday morning. Technically we do not leave for Ky until Friday morning. Thursday morning after our inspection, we are driving down to Ron and Donna's house in Wareham, Ma to stay the night. Friday morning we will hit the road bright and early, and drive at least halfway if not further to our new home :) Saturday we should get there at a fairly early time (I hope ) and be able to unload some if not all things!!! We are only here in litchfield for 3 more nights...woohoo I am soo excited!!

some pics of our packing/moving!!
