Isabelle

Tomorrow my princess will be 23 months old, only 1 more month till she turns the Big #2! She is definitely approaching the "terrible 2's"...although she's not terrible at all :) She is our little princess, and will always be the baby so I am sure she gets away with more then she should. When I look at her little face and into her big blue eyes, my heart just melts. She has learned how to say I love you, and now she climbs onto my lap and say " I love you Mommy", it's absolutely precious! The other night she learned to say Happy, and she looks at Ray and Says' Daddy, happy!" I am telling you, this little girl brings us soo much joy! I took a few pictures of her yesterday, my little model :)

Daddy's little girl

Daddy's Little Girl

Words & Music by Boby Burke & Horace Gerlach Recorded by The Mills Brothers, 1950

You’re the end of the rainbow, my pot of gold. You're daddy's little girl, to have and hold. A precious gem is what you are; You're mommy's bright and shining star. You’re the spirit of Christmas, the star on our tree. You’re the Easter Bunny to Mommy and me. You’re sugar, you're spice, and you're everything nice And You’re Daddy’s Little Girl You’re a treasure I cherish, all sparkling and bright. You were touched by Holy and beautiful light; Like the angels who sing, a heavenly thing; And you’re Daddy’s Little Girl

Gotta love thiefs

Monday night sometime someone broke into my van and stole my cell phone and navigation system. I did not know this until yesterday afternoon when I cleaned out my van in search of my cell phone which I thought I had just left in the house or van and it had died. Nope, apparently we live in a neighborhood where people like to steal thing. We filed a police report last night and and we are going to call our car insurance company today to file a claim. In the meantime though I have no phone and I feel naked. It's weird to not have access to a phone at all, unless I use Ray's when he's home....I don't like this feeling at all. Ray looked up our information last night and called 2 of the people that the person using my phone had called. One lady talked to us, but the other guy hung up on Ray...go figure....

I'm giving this burden to God, because he knows I don't need anymore stress in my life.....

Just another Tues at the Brun's

It's been a pretty layed back day around here, Ray got laid off yesterday from his seasonal job and so today, well technically last night he started his search for yet another "in the meantime" job. He is a wonderful and amazing hubby, so don't get me wrong. When he is working he pours his heart into his job, and he does a darn good job...unfortuantly the jobs he's had recently have not been jobs he loves.... The job he is waiting on is with the LMPD, he is finally in the background stage of the application process...we are praying that this is what God has in store for him, it has been something he has wanted FOREVER, and we pray this is the path he is suppose to take now.

I am making dinner right now, trying a new recipe:

PORK CHOPS WITH APPLE STUFFING
6 pork chops (1/2 inch thick)
2 tbsp. oil
1 recipe Apple Stuffing
3 tart red apples, cored and halved (optional)
Slowly brown pork on both sides in hot oil. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Place in shallow baking dish. Cover each pork chop with layer of apple stuffing and top with apple half. Sprinkle with sugar. Cover dish tightly with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Serves six.

APPLE STUFFING:
Toss together the following:
1 1/2 c. chopped apples
1/2 c. raisins (optional)
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 beef bouillon cube dissolved in 1/2 c. water
I'll be sure and let you know how it turns sout...it loooked delicious!!

The kids are playing in Garrett room right now, Ray is probably still looking for a job, my phone is MIA, and Barack Obama was sworn in as our New President today. Just another tues....

The potty training begins...again.....

The last couple of days Izzy has decided that she wants to sit on the potty. It is a cute little start to potty training! She is so small though, but wants to sit on the big potty and pretty much falls in if it wasn't for us holding onto her. I am so proud of our little girl, she hasn't gone yet but it is a great start!!

My Monkey is 6

I still can't believe Garrett is 6 years old now, it seems like yesterday I was holding him as an infant in my arms...time sure does go by quickly. He is a very smart little guy, it amazes me how much he knows. He is also quite the character, and comes up with the funniest things I have ever heard. The other day after he got home from visiting with his Nana Vicki he walked into izzy's room and noticed that I had finally gotten her curtains up. He looks up at me with those Blue eyes and says "Oh Mommy, Isabelle's room is Beautiful!" in a very dramatic way...I wanted to fall over....what a ham!! Being a Mommy is one of the most rewarding, but challenging jobs I have ever had.

Here are a few pics from His Birthday party at Aunt Kate's house on Sunday!!

New Cabinets and a new front door!!!!

A few days ago my aunt Tamie and uncle Kenney came over and installed our kitchen cabinets and new front door. I have pics of the completed cabinets, but I haven't taken pics of the new front door installed. The cabinets make the kitchen like a new room, the new front door looks so much better!
